North Carolina State University’s Intensive English Program (IEP) is a full-time, non-credit academic program offered Fall and Spring semesters for international students. Students who attend this program can take classes to acquire English proficiency in all key language skills.
The IEP also provides an opportunity to improve English skills before moving into a degree program. This is for Undergraduate Admissions applicants who meet competitive academic requirements for admission but have not met yet minimum English proficiency requirements. Please click here for more information about conditional admission through the Intensive English Program (IEP).
Admission to the Intensive English Program is separate from degree admission to NC State and does not guarantee admission to degree programs. Students should apply directly to Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Admissions for admission to degree programs.
