State of the Art Hunt Library opens January 2013 on North Carolina State University Centennial Campus

 

Centennial Campus Leads as a National Model

• Centennial Campus leads as a national model for government, business and university partnerships and mixed-used environments.

• The two campuses spans the 1,075-acre Centennial Campus and the 152-acre Centennial Biomedical Campus.

• The Association of University Research Parks (AURP) named it an “Outstanding Research Park.”   

• The  NC State colleges of textiles, engineering and veterinary medicine, as well as the Graduate School, reside on Centennial Campus. 

• Centennial Campus is home to more than 130 corporate, government or non-profit organizations.

• Its partners (1,600 employees) include GlaxoSmithKline, Ming Yang Wind Power, National Weather Service, Red Hat, and Spirent Communications. 

• More than 75 North Carolina State University research centers, institutes, and laboratories populate the Centennial Campus. 

• More than 60 corporate, non-profit and government partners and 2,470 employees work at this location.

• The Technology Incubator and Office of Technology Transfer help entrepreneurs and faculty commercialize products and processes. 

• The campuses house the 600-student Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School and the William and Ida Friday Institute for Education Innovation.
