International Coffee/Tea Hour

International Coffee/Tea Hour with students from the College of Education

This is a monthly opportunity to meet with NC State undergraduate and graduate American and international students from the College of Education. A variety of coffee, tea, and desserts are provided in a setting designed to promote intercultural interaction and conversation. This is a great opportunity for IEP students to practice their English skills!

Trip to the Raleigh Farmers Market

The Raleigh Farmers Market is conveniently located next to the NC State Centennial Campus. There is 30,000 square feet of space for North Carolina farmers to sell their fresh produce, plants, and specialty items. We will take a brief trip to the market so that you can see what the North Carolina farmers have available to you!

Overnight field trip to Asheville, NC

Asheville, NC is an eclectic city located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We will spend two days exploring some of the tourist attractions of Asheville, with plenty of time for individual exploration of the city.

Share a meal with an American family

IEP students will get the opportunity to share a meal with an American family that lives in Raleigh. For example, some students might visit the home of an American family during Thanksgiving, a traditional American holiday celebrated in November.
