NC State to Host Students from Brazil on Science Without Borders Program

This month, four students from Brazil have arrived at NC State to begin studying in the College of Engineering. Their studies will include Mechanical and Industrial Systems as well as Chemical Engineering. They are among the approximately 650 Brazilian undergraduate students that are arriving in the United States to study on U.S. campuses with funding from the Brazilian Government's Science Without Borders Program. NC State Part of European Commission Scholarship Program

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University is a partner in a new international program designed to encourage cooperation between engineering researchers at universities in North America and Europe. Read more

NC State Offers Interdisciplinary Course on Global Sustainable Development 

This semester, six faculty members from four colleges at NC State will offer a course (MIS 598/ANS 590) addressing the critical issues facing global sustainable development. The faculty members participating representing CALS, CNR, CHASS and COE, traveled to India in 2011 to teach a similar course at TERI University. Read more

UPGN Announces Research Collaboration Grants

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) is pleased to announce the inaugural Call for Proposals to the UGPN Research Collaboration Fund. This fund will support high-quality research collaborations between researchers at the UGPN partner institutions (Deadline: March 30th). Read more

Poetic Portraits of a Revolution

Two NC State students, who witnessed a revolution, are sharing their observations with the world. Last summer, Mohammad Moussa and Sameer Abdel Khalek traveled to the Middle East to document the sights, sounds, and emotions of life in Egypt and Tunisia during a period of intense transformation. They are presenting their experiences across campus, at events such as "Middle East Realignment" and a live performance in Stewart Theatre on 1/31. Read more

Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management Study Abroad and Ongoing Research Down Under
Last summer a group of NCSU students spent part of their summer travelling and learning in Queensland, Australia. The 27 undergraduates and one graduate student were participants in a pair of Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management courses. Read more
